Sending Love & Stay Happy x
Hello and welcome to Unlock your Happiness series. I'm Jenny Williams and today I have the wonderful Isabel Williams with me. Hello, isabel, hello, how are you? Good, good, good, good. Someone wanted to be on my podcast, so she looks very beautiful speaking into her microphones with her headphones on, and we're going to ask her some questions. She doesn't know what questions I'm going to ask because I didn't want her to overthink it and, um, yeah, hopefully you like our interview today, so can you tell me your name and how old you are?
Speaker 2:my name is Isabel and I am six years old.
Speaker 1:Okay, and what do you want to be when you grow up?
Speaker 2:I want to be a teacher, and why? Do you want to be a teacher? Because I can teach kids and I can really really really recognise them and I can like tell them some answers and like all that jazz.
Speaker 1:Amazing, and what is your favourite thing to do?
Speaker 2:Look after puppies.
Speaker 1:Look after puppies. You like animals? Yeah, is that your favourite thing to do?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Is there any other things you like doing?
Speaker 2:I like doing sports, I really want to be a groomer and I really, really, really want to be a mum for my whole entire life. A mum. Yeah, a mum.
Speaker 1:What makes you say that what?
Speaker 2:makes you say that? Because I want to look after some kids and I really want them to love me as well.
Speaker 1:Oh, everyone loves you anyway. You don't need kids to be able for people to love you your friends and family love you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but I have a boyfriend and I really want to marry him now.
Speaker 1:What. You have a boyfriend at six and you want to marry him already. Yes, miss me, I'm going to build you up to be an independent woman that you don't need a boyfriend yeah, that's really funny so what was the best thing that happened to you today?
Speaker 2:I liked being in year two and I really really, really love my friends oh, so the best thing that happened to you was playing with your friends today, yes, oh, amazing.
Speaker 1:So at school you have something where you have, um, your colors linked to feelings at school.
Speaker 2:So tell me a little bit about it, because I want to ask you some questions about the colours so if we put it in the green zone and if we put like the lolly sticks in the green stone um, we can become green so tell me, tell me a bit about, like, what do the colours mean?
Speaker 1:so, how many colours have you got? Like, what's the colours and what do they mean?
Speaker 2:we've got four colours green, red, blue and yellow okay, and what do those colours? Green is for happy, blue is for sad um, yellow is for excitement and excitement.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, and blue is green, green is for happy, blue is for sad, yellow is for excitement and red is for angry okay, so tell me what you feel right now.
Speaker 2:I feel green because I'm doing the podcast for my first time and I'm really excited to do it. And I'm like so excited because I've just came back from school and I really want to do a podcast when I grow up.
Speaker 1:Well, you can be whatever you want to be, so tell me if you had a friend at school that was maybe feeling a little bit blue. What would you do to help?
Speaker 2:them, I would help them and I would like them to be friends with me and I would play with them all day.
Speaker 1:What to try and stop them from being sad.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:What type of things can you do to help people that feel a little bit?
Speaker 2:sad. Um, we can like play with them, we can share toys with them and if someone made them really really, really sad, maybe they can go in the book corner and like be like calm and like think about it and yeah what?
Speaker 1:what type of thing do you do sometimes when you when?
Speaker 2:someone gets a bit upset. You give them a I give them a hug and that makes them happy and the rule in school is you can't say naughty that word is not allowed, is it no, okay?
Speaker 1:well, thank you for explaining them colors, because I think sometimes it's hard for us to express how we feel, don't we? Yes so being able to relate them to a color really helps, doesn't it? Because then you might not necessarily be able to go. I feel like this but yeah, you relate it to a color. You can put it in a jar, can't you at school, put it in a little bit of sand? Your color sticks, don't you?
Speaker 1:yeah they're like multi-colored, and then you put the stick in the relevant kind of section to say yeah if I'm happy, I put them in the green zone.
Speaker 2:If I'm sad, I put them in the blue zone. And if I'm yellow, I put them in the yellow zone. And if I'm red, I've put them in the blue zone. And if I'm yellow, I put them in the yellow zone, and if I'm red, I've put them in the red zone that I don't actually be red.
Speaker 1:I was gonna ask you that are you ever red?
Speaker 2:no oh that's good how do you make? Sure that you don't go red or don't feel red because I don't want to be angry with someone, because I do get a bit annoyed and I really want them to. Just I don't want them to argue with me. That's why I just stop and like be calm and say, okay, I'm gonna tell the teacher now. And and I'm like, okay, I'm going to go and tell the teacher now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you talk it through.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, oh, that's good. Well, I'm glad that you look after your friends, and I'm glad you share your feelings and how you feel, because it's really good to talk to people, isn't it? And share how you feel and talk to each other, yeah, so tell me, what do you think your life will be like in the future?
Speaker 2:I think I would be happy more than angry, sad, not necessarily to colours.
Speaker 1:What do you think your future looks like?
Speaker 2:If you shut your eyes and think of yourself as mummy's age.
Speaker 1:What do you think it will look like?
Speaker 2:I think I would feel calm, calm like the calm zone what does?
Speaker 1:what does it look like? What does your world look like, not how you, how you feel, so does does it have?
Speaker 2:my world feels like it's so green green yeah, so what's that?
Speaker 1:going to include? Is that going to have a house in the country? Is it going to be in the city?
Speaker 2:um, I think my house is going to be right where I live, right here. I don't want to leave this house.
Speaker 1:Oh, you want to stay here. Yes, oh, no, I haven't got you forever, have I?
Speaker 2:Oh, no oh, Because you'll die die, die.
Speaker 1:Oh, don't say that that's not very nice. It's true, but not very nice. Um so, how else do you?
Speaker 2:see your future. What would you so?
Speaker 1:you said you wanted to be a teacher, yeah. You want to live in a house like this? Yes, and what else would you?
Speaker 2:like I would really want people to be happy and no one being sad, angry or excited that's true, but that's not how life is is it.
Speaker 1:A lot of people feel a little bit of all types of feelings. Yeah, and that's okay, isn't it, as long as you talk about it and stuff yeah so what would you do if you could change the world?
Speaker 2:I would be like happy and tell everyone to be happy and excited, but how do people become happy? Um. So I like cheer them up with some toys, some sweets and some chocolate by Halloween what do you like to do that makes you feel happy?
Speaker 2:I really want to do like I want to be a teacher, because I want to hand out stickers and because I really really want to, um, like, be so happy and the other people can be happy and everyone can be happy in the world, right well they can be if they work on themselves and work on being kind to each other. Can't they yeah and they believe in themselves they, they believe in themselves.
Speaker 1:yeah, so when you say you want to be happy and green all the time, sometimes you're not always happy.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:So how do you make yourself happy? Do you say things to yourself or do you dance?
Speaker 2:I normally like just breathe out and in and I become calmer and green and Sing, sing and dance and I really love maths.
Speaker 1:Do you? Yes, oh, we've got to do homework in a minute so you can get the maths work done first. Yay, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay. Amazing. So what do you love about yourself?
Speaker 2:About. I like my heart, I like my brain and I really love my mouth so I can talk and so I can be like um, like a really good future, and I really, really, really want other people to be happy as well as me as well oh, that's lovely.
Speaker 1:So how can others love themselves? What can other people do that might be listening to this, that might be feeling a little bit sad?
Speaker 2:they could share stuff, they could be like happy, they could be sad.
Speaker 1:But how do they change that feeling?
Speaker 2:They can change it if someone plays with them.
Speaker 1:Just if someone plays with them.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and give them like stuff that they haven't actually got.
Speaker 1:Yeah that might make them not as sad, potentially, mightn't it?
Speaker 2:yeah, what about? Um what makes you happy? Make what makes me happy. What types of what?
Speaker 1:people make you happy or what things make you happy.
Speaker 2:My friends at my school makes me happy and I really love my puppy called Poppy.
Speaker 1:Anyone else?
Speaker 2:I really love my cat both of my dogs and I really love my future.
Speaker 1:Does it look bright?
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Does it look bright? Yeah, does it look green? Yeah, brilliant. And if you could be an animal, what would you be?
Speaker 2:I would be a leopard. Why is that? Because leopards run fast and I really want to run fast.
Speaker 1:You can run fast.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I really want to run fast.
Speaker 1:You can run fast.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but not that fast. You can practice.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but my friend, Mia is faster in the blue team Amazing. And what is one rule that you would change in the house if you could?
Speaker 2:I would stop people being angry at my house.
Speaker 1:We're not angry.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you normally are. That's not true. Yes, it is, it is true, okay. Well, is there any?
Speaker 1:last words that you'd like to say to the people listening.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:Oh, you don't want to close off by thanking them for listening.
Speaker 2:Yeah, thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy your day today and I really hope you have a wonderful day today and have a nice day.
Speaker 1:Thank you so much, isabel, for being on my podcast. I hope you enjoyed it. We might get you in for more, yeah, and thank you everyone for listening, and I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have listening to this little lady. Um, send in love and stay happy.
